Y: The Last Man is Vaughan and Pia Guerra’s sixty-issue Vertigo series (2002–2008). Every male mammal on Earth simultaneously dies — except Yorick Brown and his pet monkey Ampersand. The series follows Yorick’s journey across a transformed world. It is the title that established Vaughan as a major comics writer.
