Tracy Kidder Signed Firsts: A Reference
Tracy Kidder (born 1945) is the American nonfiction writer whose The Soul of a New Machine (1981) won the Pulitzer Prize and defined a new model of immersive, embedded nonfiction — spending months or years with his subjects to produce narratives of work, community, and human striving. His later books — Mountains Beyond Mountains (about Paul Farmer), Strength in What Remains, and A Truck Full of Money — apply the same method to international health, immigration, and technology entrepreneurship.
