Taiyo Matsumoto Signed Firsts: A Reference

Taiyo Matsumoto (born 1967) is one of the most visually distinctive mangaka — his art draws on European comics (Moebius, Enki Bilal), American alternative comics, and traditional Japanese brushwork to create a style unlike any other manga artist. His international reputation rests primarily on Tekkonkinkreet and Ping Pong, both adapted into acclaimed animated films.
