Sin City (originally titled Sin City: The Hard Goodbye) is Miller’s creator-owned noir masterpiece. First serialized in Dark Horse Presents #51–62 (1991–92) and collected by Dark Horse Comics in 1992. Miller’s stark black-and-white art — no grayscale, no shading, just pure black and white — created a visual vocabulary for noir comics that has been endlessly imitated but never matched.
