Roberto Calasso Signed Firsts: A Reference
Roberto Calasso (1941–2021) was the Italian writer and publisher whose works constitute a singular project in contemporary letters — a multi-volume investigation of the sacred, mythological, and literary foundations of Western and Eastern civilization. As head of Adelphi Edizioni, Calasso was also Italy’s most influential publisher. His books — dense, erudite, brilliantly written — defy conventional genre categories: they are simultaneously scholarship, literature, and philosophy.
Key Titles
