Providence Signed First Editions Reference
Providence is Moore’s comprehensive engagement with H.P. Lovecraft — a twelve-issue series published by Avatar Press (2015–2017), with art by Jacen Burrows. The series follows Robert Black, a journalist in 1919 New England, as he encounters the real-world inspirations for Lovecraft’s fiction. Moore’s meticulous historical research transforms the Cthulhu mythos from pulp horror into a complex exploration of American history, sexuality, and the nature of cosmic horror.
Collecting Overview
Individual issues and collected trade paperbacks are both available. Avatar Press also produced variant covers in limited quantities for the individual issues.
