Michael Connelly Signed Firsts: A Reference
Michael Connelly (born 1956) is among the most respected and commercially successful American crime novelists of the past three decades. His detective Harry Bosch — a Vietnam veteran turned LAPD homicide detective whose personal motto (“Everybody counts or nobody counts”) reflects a moral seriousness rare in genre fiction — has anchored over twenty novels since The Black Echo (1992). Connelly’s second major character, defense attorney Mickey Haller (the “Lincoln Lawyer”), has generated his own successful series and film/TV franchise.
Connelly as Collector’s Subject
Connelly signs extensively at bookstore events, crime fiction conventions, and literary festivals. He has maintained an active touring schedule for decades. Signed copies of most titles are readily available; the exception is The Black Echo, his debut, which was published in a modest first printing.
