The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen Subsequent Volumes Reference

The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen expanded across multiple volumes, each more ambitious and esoteric than the last. Moore and O’Neill pushed the concept from Victorian adventure into increasingly dense literary allusion.

The Volumes

• Volume 2 (2002–2003): The Martian invasion (Wells’ War of the Worlds). ABC/Wildstorm. Collected 2003.
• The Black Dossier (2007): A sourcebook/narrative hybrid. ABC/Wildstorm. Includes 3D glasses section.
• Century (2009–2012): Three volumes spanning 1910, 1969, and 2009. Top Shelf/Knockabout.
• Nemo Trilogy (2013–2015): Three graphic novels following Nemo’s daughter. Top Shelf/Knockabout.
• The Tempest (2018–2019): The final volume. Top Shelf/Knockabout. Moore’s last comics work.

Collecting Values

Subsequent volumes are less collected than Volume 1. Values for unsigned first printings range from $10–$40. Moore signatures on any volume command substantial premiums. The Tempest, as Moore’s final comics work, carries additional significance for completists.
