Dreamtigers (1960/1964) Signed First Edition Reference

El hacedor (Emecé, Buenos Aires, 1960), published in English as Dreamtigers (University of Texas Press, 1964), is Borges’s most personal collection — prose poems, parables, poems, and the famous self-reflexive meditation “Borges and I.” The title piece describes Borges’s childhood dream of a tiger that, no matter how vividly imagined, always disintegrates into something less than a real tiger.
