The Dark Knight Returns (1986 Collected) Signed First Edition Reference
The Dark Knight Returns reinvented Batman and, alongside Watchmen, redefined what superhero comics could achieve. Published as four prestige-format issues by DC Comics in 1986, the series depicts an aging Bruce Wayne who comes out of retirement to battle crime, Superman, and the corrupt system that has enabled both. Miller’s Bruce Wayne is brutal, obsessive, and frighteningly effective — a character that has defined every subsequent interpretation of Batman.
